who knows the painting color of a 2,5 Hotchkiss HEI with tracer without selfdestructor?

I cannot answer your question directly, but I have the following information about French aircraft cannon shells, which may provide some guidance:

Cannon shells showed great variation as there were four providers - French Government factory production, French Hispano production, Swiss imported Hispano production and finally Swiss Oerlikon imported production - which did not use the same codes. The following have been identified:
HE = green and yellow bands
HESD = yellow band
AP = black tip
Tracer = grey-blue band
Inert = black band

Hello Megatron,

A picture of an inert 25 mm HEI tracer like yours, with the original paint and stamps, made under German control in France in 1944.

T 18 250 - 4500 for tracer from 250 meters to 4500 meters
