Can anyone identify the weapons the cartridges shown below were intended for?

The first cartridge is the MG 151/15 for scale. The second is a 15x135 Polte experimental, next is the 20x135 version, and finally a 20x138RB. All of the cases are replicas manufactured from factory drawings, although the projectiles are genuine.

At first, I thought that the 20x138RB might be the MK 108/20 illustrated in Lippert's book, but the case is too slender.

PS I have no idea of the answers. Also, I will be away for the next couple of weeks...

Hi,

do u know how the replicas are made?

Are they turned from full material or really pressed and pulled?

How did u get those?

I don't know how these were made but they look and feel authentic! I bought them from a collector at an ECRA meeting in Belgium last year.

Hi Tony,

do you come to the International ECRA meeting in Oktober in Hess. Oldendorf?
If so I would be glad to meet you there.

Hi, yes I plan to be there. The annual ECRA International meeting is just about the only place I can find any ammo I want these days!

Tony,

the 20x138RB is also illustrated in Part 3 of "Military Cartridges"by W.D. de Hek, it is described as a MK 108/20.

About the ECRA meeting.
Is it really that good ?
What about large caliber ammunition, let's say 20 mm and more is there a good supply in that area present ?

Yes, the ECRA International meeting is an excellent source for all collectors ammo; anything up to field artillery!

PS - I should have added that the cartridge is not the MK 108/20. The case is slimmer than the MK 108.

Hi Chris,

It will be good to see you at last!

BTW I am just reading through the first proofs of the next book, on Aircraft guns and ammunition 1933-45, and I have included several of your pictures of sectioned ammo in it.
