Cutaway model of a (modern)12,7x108mm Degtjarjov API-HC cartridge. An interesting detail to be observed is that the projectile does have an incendiary charge above as well as below the tungsten carbide penetrator. The lower Incendiary charge is placed in a thin walled brass cup, locked up by the tapered end of the projectile.
The tungsten penetrator is ø9,2mm x 39,2mm long. Length of the complete projectile is 64,2mm.
Colour code projectile: The complete projectile (above mouth shellcase) is transparant wine red, with a 5 mm long black tip. Just over the mouth of the shellcase a 2mm wide dark red ring is painted on the projectile.
I do not have info about the Vo. And the penetration values, so if anybody has any info on that , please let me know.

The correct designation of this projectile/cartridge is "BS", the designation B-32 referrs to the older and more common design with steel core and incendiary contained above the core. It's tip was colored black over red band.
At the beginning of WWII Russia already developed one "BS" cartridge which's projectile had the design we know from the 14.5 APHC projectile with cylindrical base and rather short overall length. This cartridge was intended for use in the "PTR" AT rifle which was a copy of the German Tankgewehr. It was produced right at the beginning of the war as an emergency measure and was dropped in favour of the 14.5 AT rifles.
