What does it mean "N"? It is a manufacturing year code?

Yes "N" is a manufacturing year code : 1933

Others are : A : 1925 ; Z : 1926 ; M : 1927 ; T : 1928 ; R : 1929 ; B : 1930 ; E : 1931 ; O : 1932 ; N : 1933 ; K : 1934 ; G : 1935 ; S : 1936 ; J : 1937 ; H : 1938.

But why used the Germans letter codes from 1936-1937? In that period there wasn't hiding procedure.

Hi GuardianAngel,

I think, that the letter codes for 1936 - 1938 was on the list , but no used, because it wasn't necessary ! I have NEVER seen the 3 last letters : S J H.

The most common are G and K.

Did somebody had a case with one of this 3 letters codes ?
