Hi, another question,
The day before yesterday I found 2 of these 20MM HS 404 shells in the Eifel (DE), well nothing specials about that but I can't find the backstamp of it in my reference material. I know that K, K2, K4, K5 stand for the Kynoch factory's but I have never found one cartridge with the stamp K.51. Please can someone tell me more about this?

Thanks in advance,

I also find it weird that there is no year on the cartridge? Every 20MM I found had a year on it.

This is a after war production.
K.51 means "Kynoch Birmingham 1951".
This headstamp also found on .50 BMG - K.52, .30M1 - K.55 ect.

Hmm, I found them near the village of Höfen, between German trenches. Didn't expected they were doing practise with scharp aircraft ammo near a village like that.
Thanks for your information.
