Are you shure, that this is a fuze?

Some further information would be helpfull:
on what sort of ammunition has it been fixed (and on what end... )
where has it been found

still wondering

Hello Bob .i cant say where it was found for security reasons..apart from was from an area i am currently clearing which was used to dispose of ammunition. It was not attatched to any ammunition we have found lots of other types of fuzes in the same area ,,that because of the quantity had been disposed of by the case full.

Hello

If you look , you can remark that it is (from far) similar witth the TMIZ42

Tellermine Zünder 42 or 43 ...

Then : AntitankMine Fuze For what countries ????

This "fuze" looks like similar the british "AT Mine Fuze No.1 Mk.1" but the fuze from @albrown are shorter. Perhaps a variant?

Hello Bob .i cant say where it was found for security reasons.
Sorry, with my question I never intended to give the exact location, because I know of the danger of those "treasure-hunters".
I only tried to get out (and you just answered it), in which country, on what sort of place and in what context (dispose of ammunition, among other fuzes) it was found to make some suggestions.

But - sorry - I still don't have an idea

Bob

i think Rigby is showing exactly the right fuze. I guess the detonator from the fuze on your photo exploded and tore up some part of the fuze body around the visible thread (just below the look screw).
