Here is a Hungarian manufacured 45 mm lacquiered steel case from the coldwar time (1955)!
Great stuff !!
Here's the 45 mm tank gun case with electric primer.
Some additional info:
The first head stamp is indicating a navy case which then was using projectiles different from those of the AT and Tank guns.
Russian steel cases also exist.
There are 2 different cannister projectiles for this caliber as well as HE shells with 2 driving bands and also driving bands with a rim in the centre.
Hi guardianangel!

Dear Forum,
Your notes has right, but I could draw correctly what I could measure! Never seen before a real 45 and 57 mm russian canister shot. Has You?
Please send me a drawing with the DETAILED measurements!
THX: GA
It'a picyure form IIWW manual, and I,ve never seen another 45 mm round types:

And a small mstake on the first presented here picture: 45 mm HE projectiles could't have been fuzed with KTM-3 (KT-3) as it's thread was different
And, the canister picture:

Due to its extremally simply shape, I'think such drawing is enough

@Przemek: Thank you the pictures!
As I wrote I draw what I can give/hold between my hands. I saw a O-240A with KTM-3 fuze. I recognise the dfference at the thread! I try to interchange the fuze by a "normal" KTM-1 but I couldn't fit with it! That is why I draw it!
So be sure it is possible!
Here is another typ of canister shell from a finnish manual about the 47mm AT gun.

Great images Guardianangel. Thanks for posting your work.
Another question about AP projectile evolution. Do you know if the BR-240 came before BR-240SP. Or was BR-240SP manufactured before BR-240?

dscheto
@dscheto: Danke!

... Never seen before a real 45 and 57 mm russian canister shot. Has You? ...
Hello
I have a 45mm canister shot.
French Drawing of: deutsche Beutepatrone 4,5cmSpgr.Patr.
a. eingeschraubt
Great stuff !!
Here's the 45 mm tank gun case with electric primer.
After looking at this Finnish manual it appears that the primer was of the combined percussion-electric type. It says on the first sheet that it can be used in the 45 mm ATG M1932 as a percussion primer and as an electric or percussion primer in the 45 mm ATG M1937 (although it says M1938, but I think they've misnamed it).
What is the primer's Soviet designation, could it be 42-M?
Here is an another tank gun case!
Peter
