Hi Megatron!
Here is the original drawings from Hungarian manuals. I found two different type:
1. 40 mm 42M PR granat = 40 mm 42M HEAT shell
2. 40 mm 42/aM PR granat = 40 mm 42/a M HEAT shell
The first one is the same like German 37 mm Stiel Gr. 41. But it had 40 mm rod. The second is the original 40 mm HEAT.
One manual five some closer information:
Total wight: 8-11 kg (?)
Explosive charge: 2,5 kg
Penetration capability: 160-180 mm
Effective range: max. 200 m
Fuze: 43M mortar shell fuze, 44M Mortar shell fuze. It is bore safe and arming 30 m from the muzzle.
Your shell has AZ 5075 or another German type fuze. Hungarians used mortar shell fuses. You can see in the drawing.
Are there any stampings on the fuze? Or on the shell?
