- My black and white photo from below [it will be posted soon] shows the headstamp markings for a 1938 German made 37X263B brass shell case: "P/345" [shell case maker], "61" [lot number], "1938" [year of the shell case manufacture], "WaA73" [Waffenamt number, acceptance stamp] and "6348*" [case identification number]. Both markings "P/345" and "WaA73" stand for "Silva Metallwerke GmbH, Werk Genthin". --- The "C/13nA" percussion primer screw with 3-wrench holes is marked: "84" [lot number], "Rh.S." [Rheinmetall-Borsig A.-G., Sommerda plant, Sommerda], "217" [model number?], "1937" [year of primer manufacture] and "C/13nA" [type of primer in which "nA" mark represents "neuer Art" or "new model"]. - QUESTIONS: --- [1] What exactly the primer mark "217" means??? Is it a model number??? --- [2] There is a star with 6 corners stamped after "6348" headstamp mark, what is the meaning of it???? Sometimes an "asterisk" [a star like sign] is used after "6348". --- [3] Anyone who knows details about this type of primer called "neuer Art"???? Thanks in advance for any help, Orita 01/11/07
