Hi Everybody!

Here is some Hungarian 20x105B ammunition pictures and infos.
Firstly this ammunition was used in Sholothurn S-18 heavy anti-armor rifle. In Hungary it was the only one wheapon to the infantry wich can attack armoured targets. Its name was: 36M páncéltörQ puska. This rifle was used in all time in WWII but it wasnt so succesful. So the Hungaryan ordnance plants produced its ammunitions. The following types are know for me:

- 20 mm 36M HE with 36/20M nose fuze
Fuze same as German AZ 5045, filling: TNT
- 20 mm 36M AP-T with 36/20M base fuze
Fuze same as German BdZ 5105; filling TNT
- 20 mm 36M TPHE with 36/20M dummy fuze
Filling: slag
- 20 mm 36M TPAP-T with 36/20M dummy fuze
Filling: none or slag
- 20 mm 36M drill HE with 36/20M dummy fuze
Barss case base and projectile fuze joined with a steel rod. Between the ends wood cover
- 20 mm 36M drill AP

In the picture you can see the projectiles with the HE shell codes. 104 the lot number 43 the producing year. The Danuvia was the the assemble plant, Sigmund and Hubert and Hirmann Ferenc were the subcontractors. They made the metal parts of the projectile but Danuvia filled. The final acceptance stamp always the Hungarian Crown. In this case we can find in the base of the projectile.

When the Hungarian Army serviced this wheapon the industry still couldnt produce its ammunitions. Therefore Hungarians bought ammunitions also. The following bought types are known:

- 20 mm HE with AZ 5045 nose fuze
- 20 mm AP with BdZ 5105 base fuze without tracer
- 20 mm AP-T with BdZ 5105 base fuze

Now you should see the base stamps. I., II. and III. Hungarian manufactured, all of them made by Danuvia, Budapest XIV Angol utca 10/12. I. is made from brass, II. from lacquered steel and III. also lacqered steel but removed rust. The IV. was made by an another country but the acceptance stap is a Hungarian Crown. It isn't the regular shape so I think it was hit in abroad. It is a P and a number (2) code. But I know a same base stamp with P but with an E letter code. Does anybody know something about that? Or about anything the P code 20x105B with Hungarian Crown?

P (Polte) is German export manufacture and E as well, the last is a quite rare manufacturer.
When Manfred Stegmueller was alive he told me about but I don't remember who it was (he was the leading expert in anti tank rifle ammo)
