This is a high explosive prefagmented round for automatic grenade launchers. It uses the fuze DM 431 which is a improved version of the US M-549 fuze by adding a self destruct mechanism to it. Upon firing two set back pins stay behind freeing the rotor, at the same moment the self destuct firing pin hits the self destruct element igniting it. After set back due to the rotation the rotor, delayed by a gear mechanism, rotates in the armed posistion and is held from the firing pin by a spring. Upon on impact the rotor is driven in the firing pin. Self destruct is after 14 seconds.

Sorry I don't have a pic. from the DM112 HEDP, instead here is one of the HEDP M-430 which is the same only for the fuze, this one is fuzed M-549 this is the same as the
Dm-431 but it has no self destuct feature and has only one set back pin instead of two.

I still have an older HE and HE practice type (vietnam Era ), which I still have to finish. As soon as the 8,8cm mania is over on this side I will finish, picture and post them.

There's a big posting with six new 8,8cm cutaway models on the way. Just a little patience untill next week. :)
