Hi, my friend has ammo case on photos below. Can anybody help me with identification? Which guns used this ammo or photo of whole ammo? What das mean headstamps "MAI", "St 147" and "Ke"?

Thanks Pufik.

It is a very common German 7,7 cm fieldgun shell. Mai is German for the month May, St is short for "Stark" (means strong, for the material). Ke I am not sure about, 147 is probably a LOT number.

the Crown + "Ke" is the Acceptance-Stamp and Ke means Karlruhe (first and last letter). 147 is the Lieferungsnummer, number of delivery. Your case is one of the last which was accepted in Karlsruhe, in 1915 the acceptance system changed and later all material was inspected in the state factorys Spandau, Siegburg, Dresden, Ingolstadt, etc. only...
