I am a model maker and plan to build a 1:10 FlaK 8,8 going to as much detail as possible (am 68, bored with wife e.t.c.).
During my research in the net, I have seen some letters-numbers? on the body of the case. Could someone inform me of what was written exactly? A picture woud greatly be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
George from Greece
here are several photos of FLAK 88mm airburst shell used by Yugoslav army post wwii. stencils are yugoslav but stamps are genuine german. not cases photos but i hope will do some help.

al'saad, excellent images and info, do you know what fuze was used and do you have images? What year was the shell refurbished 1967?
Would you probably have a high res version of the image that shows the whole shell with markings (3rd from top)?
Would it be also possible to see the unscrewed booster?

Thanks a lot al'saad for precious and rare info.
If ever finish my model I will dedicate the first shell to you.
Regards,
George
Hi and welcome.
Maybe this is helpfull.
@X
photos of shell are taken by mobile phone, so have no hi res pics. shell is upgraded 1967 with booster built in Slavko Rodic Bugojno ordnance factory in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Airburst 8,8cm shells in Yugoslav army were equipped with repaired Zt.Z. S/30 with booster M21A4P2 where P2 means modification of american detonator to fit german fuse.
also HEF 8,8 shells were equipped with american M51A5P1 where P1 designates modification made on treads of the fuse to fit 8,8cm shell.
I'd love to have one for a cutaway model.

one more thing, yugoslav shells are refilled with cast tnt, instead of german pressed tnt filler, which was not wrapped in cardboard.
al'saad, thanks for the explanation. The whole shell was refurbished by "Remontni Zavod, Kragujevac".
shell jacket is repaired and repainted in "Remontni Zavod, Kragujevac", fuse and booster are reconstructed and made in "Slavko Rodić, Bugojno", explosive filler is casted into shells and shell is fully assembled in "Pretis, Vogošća".
The SRB I noticed, where is the PV / TV?
i haven't found Pretis Vogošća mark on shell, and information i gave originates from my former chief who was engineer in Pretis factory befor war in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
