Hallo

Kennt jemand diese Hülse / Do you know something about this case ?
Für Kanone oder für Leuchtpistole / for Artillery gun or for Flare pistol ?

vielleicht für eine 37mm Kanone System Hotchkiss? Für eine Leuchtpistole erscheint mir die Hülse etwas groß und Messing spricht auch nicht dafür...

ja, ich habe es gerade gefunden: Die Hülse ist für die Niederländische Hotchkiss-Revolverkanone, die 1884 bei der niederl. Marine eingeführt worden ist. Es wurden auch von der Patronenfabrik Karlsruhe (Lorenz) hergestellte Hülsen verwendet.

The case for the 37mm canon uses a flat base. The case length is 94mm and not 84mm. The case you have is for a flare gun.
The original name is: Patroon t/ seinpistool v/3,7cm (37x84,5R)
There were different types, red, green and white flare.
The cases for the 37mm canon are simular to this one and the cases for the canon were used to make cases for the flare pistol.
