On a common german case 53 x 176 R at 6 o'clock :
PL P is added in red. signification ?+qq :p

Hello

It's a guess...but perhaps Platz Patrone? It seems that the case has 5 dots what means it was reloaded 5 times?
I'll surch further...

Thats quite possible, as other (small caliber i.e. 11mm Mauser, 10,6 RR) had red base markings in the beginning as ident for "Platzpatrone". Later, this was ommitted.
