Gewinde: 2.1 bzw 2.2 X 1,5 bzw. 2 (mm)

Bin dankbar für alle Informationen!

Your fuze is a German version of the 24/31 French fuze
RYG 18 (originally made in brass with the top in aluminium)
It's a noze fuze instananeous very sensitive used on a lot of type of French artillery shells and too on 81 mm French WGr.
It was probably made in a French factory under German control.

Best regards.

Tanks for information!

I searched in nearly every book I have. So you see, there`re always small lacks of knowledge. Would you please post a picture of the french original?

All the best, WaA 378!

Not only the Germans used that sort of fuze. Attached you see an excerpt from the british "Middle East Training Pamphlet" (which they maybe need again in the near future??), showing an US-made RYG-fuze, ans several others of similar construction.
All the best

Hello to all,

A lot of countries which had French Artillery used this fuze, Belgium, Poland, USA, Yougoslavia, Roumania... and probably many others.

A picture of this fuze from a french artillery book dated 1940 :
