who can explain me what means this marking cold seen on a shell of 88 Flak ? I see others WAA RATON on other shells in
UK ...

I think it reads "Vaaraton". My friend has the same 8.8 projectile with this stamp. We think this is a finnish stamp, cause there is a city named Vaaraton in Finland? My friend also has been told be the seller, that his shell comes from a finnish arsenal.

His shell also has the same perfect condition like yours :p , i think it comes from the same place like yours...

"VAARATON" is stamped on these shells by the finnish authorithys after deactivation, it means inert.
Strangely enough not all shells are stamped..

I asked this question some time ago, i got my answer from the guy who imports these shells.. (so it must be true..;) )
