Hi,

can someone identify this 105 mm Shell? I think, it is a hungarian Modell 40/34 shell, but i am not sure. The over-all length is 375mm (without fuze)

Hi Stan!

It looks like a Hungarian 40/34M HE or concrete piercing shell without the base schrew. It will be good if you send me a picture from the base. With this the identification will be exact.

the problem is, that i have no base fuze. We found it empty without the fuze.

Hi Stan!

I would like a picture from the shell base. I think there we can find circle shape gas check rim. It is a Hungarian speciality thet the base fuze is threated into the base plug. So if you like to reach the fuze you should screw out the base plug (left twist!) and than you can schrew out the fuze from the inner plate of the base. The fuze was 34M inner fuze, but its Hungarian abreviation is base fuze. It was graze mechanism with- or without powder delay and centrifugal safety feature. If the fuze was fitted with delay action this was temped over the driving band. "K.val"-Hungarian text.
